Refugee Youth Literacy Services (RYLS) is a youth-led 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization based in Folsom, California, dedicated to empowering and educating children from resettled refugee families. Our mission is to create a supportive learning community that fosters understanding, friendship, and shared opportunities. Through our nonprofit’s efforts, we focus on delivering critical STEM and literacy services to refugee children, empowering them to build a better tomorrow. The funds we raise will go toward providing educational tools, resources, and opportunities for these underserved youth including food and nourishment. This holistic support will give them the resources they need to succeed in their education and lead healthier lives.
Thanks to the unwavering support of volunteers, donors, and community members, RYLS is growing steadily. Our vision is to build a stronger and more inclusive community where refugee families can thrive. To achieve this, we aspire to establish a dedicated school that will host educational programs, cultural exchange activities, and community-building initiatives.
