Abhirup, a student at Folsom High School, believes empowerment starts with self-belief. He helps students build literacy and confidence for their future. Abhirup loves playing the piano, swimming, and enjoying sports like basketball and football with friends, dedicating much of his time to these passions outside of school.

Rishabh Venkataramani

Rishabh is a current junior at Vista Del Lago high school. He believes that strong reading skills are important to make science and math concepts a lot easier to grasp, and hopes to make learning fun and accessible for everyone. In his free time, Rishabh enjoys playing soccer and basketball with his friends.

Srimann Satpathy

Srimann, a Folsom High junior, dreams of becoming a doctor and values reading as a gateway to understanding math and science. He admires RYLS for empowering refugees through literacy. Outside academics, Srimann enjoys playing chess to sharpen his mind and staying active on the basketball court.

Amritha is a junior at Vista del Lago High School. She believes that inclusivity nurtures a more positive classroom environment, while focusing on literacy and sciences in the classroom. In her free time, Amritha likes reading novels, listening to music, and playing volleyball.

Sunehri is a student at Vista Del Lago. As an avid reader and dedicated student, she is passionate about helping refugees improve their language and literacy skills. In her free time, she enjoys reading novels and visiting new places.

Aadesh

Aadesh is a student at Folsom High School who values reading skills as essential for grasping many different concepts. He enjoys volunteering in his community and assisting those in need. Outside of academics, Aadesh enjoys playing sports such as tennis, basketball, and volleyball with his friends.

Aarav Mohapatra

Aarav, a student at Vista Del Lago High School, believes that education is the building blocks of the future generation. He helps students build literacy and confidence for their future. Loves playing basketball, going out with friends, working on robotics as well as volunteering for various organizations, giving a generous amount of time to these hobbies outside of school.
